Ray Of Light was quite a groundbreaking album in Madonna's career. It was a massive comeback, it was universally praised, it is ranked among 500 Greatest Albums of All Times by the Rolling Stone magazine. It earned her 6 Grammy nominations and 4 wins. It was mature yet fresh, deep yet innovative.
I have no doubt there'll be a point in Britney's career when she's gonna release a mature album like that. Album, written and produced by herself; a personal and revealing record; album on which you won't find lyrics like "in the club" or "on the floor".
Agreed. I'm very confident that it will be her next album.
I think if it takes enough of a break, it might be her next album

A cross between Erotica and Bedtimes Stories with the unique Britney touch would be "Heaven On Earth" ( yes, the pun was intended). Also, something laid back with lush and beautiful instruments, at the very least.

it was great record, but it was a club record. it wasn't deep at all. and it wasn't written by her, nor was it personal.. maybe apart from 1 song (Piece of Me), and even then.. no.
