“It starts with dreaming the impossible, of can we design and build a device that takes the best of the tablet and the laptop … That's the device that we want to create.”
-Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, May 20

Apple also finally cut its previously outlandish prices for extra storage to meet or beat competitors. Adding 50 gigabytes, or GB, currently costs $100 a year. Under the new plan, 200 GB will cost only $48. That’s half what Microsoft charges for the same storage. Google charges $24 for 100 GB or $120 for 1 terabyte (1,024 GB).
To be sure, Microsoft appears much less threatening to Apple than Google right now. While Android has greater market share in phones and tablets than Apple, Microsoft’s Windows phones and tablets remain a footnote, with less than 3% share.
So now they can't come for Android like they used to, Windows is their new target? Why can't they make decent decisions for their own brand and stop focusing on other ones that aren't competition

I think they mean Computer / Tablet wise since Android doesn't have their own computers
The adoption rates of the others are absolutely embarrassing not like people really want Windows 8 but... it's obvious that closed OS >>> and that applies for both OS X and iOS.
Free updates are also a plus. Apple truly cares about its customers to give all of that research and development away for FREE!
Apple doesn't care about how large their OS X user base is. They focus on the professionals and those who want their computers to last more than 5 years, so they either have to provide a low quality product or a high priced product. They provide the high priced product owned by less and the Windows manufacturers STILL imitate their designs.
