I honestly feel like she did, even with her fashion i think she did what alot of artist were scared to do. so do you think she changed pop music to what you hear today on the radio, seeing other performances, music videos and also to what people are using as fashion.?
Most particularly i feel The Fame paved the way!
Even if she made a modest impact that is still a huge achievement, because people are not always acceptable to change

i haven't heard anything born this way influenced on the radio and the tf & tfm era was regular dance-pop.
i'll vote no. and it has nothing to do with madonna tbh.
No matter what people think of her now, you can't deny she changed the pop scene. After her debut, the genre of pop on the radio changed and everyone upped their game. She may not have created a new genre of pop because dance music has been used by legends such as Cher, but she definitely changed it from 09 onwards
She didn't change Pop music. Pop music is still the same, it hasn't changed in the way Britney did in 1999 and made every artist follow her footsteps. You still have bigger superstars like Rihanna and ADELE doing their thing and succeeding at it. She simply pushed the controversy envelope allowing the likes of Nicki and Jessie J to be big, which is a great feat.
