That happened to me once on Facebook. There's something mentally unstable about someone
who would post photos of someone and claim it was them. I would be very cautious of
speaking to that person on any personal level again, because clearly something is off.
It would effect the relationship because that is dishonesty and you are not being genuine. If you are posting fake pic of yourself then that probably means you are probably lying about other stuff.
