Siobhan Magnus Conspiracy?
Quote:
Specifically, the claims revolve around the voting phone number of Aaron Kelly being listed as Siobhan’s voting number on Idol’s official Facebook page. While we have yet to find anyone who can offer evidence of this claim, multiple posters in our comments section have nonetheless made the same claim thus far (although that of course doesn’t confirm that all of them saw it with their own eyes or even that it happened). Claiming that the voting process is rigged is the American Idol equivalent of claiming that the football referees are attempting to throw the game with their calls. The claims are bound to come from frustrated fans – and tonight was yet another instance.

Is this true? I mean, how does she go from the top of the list to the bottom of it in one night?
There's a lot of petitions going on, but I doubt AI will bring her back.

No, it's far from true. Her fans/stans are just upset that she lost. It was a terrible performance on Tuesday from her. So bad, that it got her kicked off. Of course she is a great singer and will definitely get picked up soon. Who cares if you win anymore? Almost the entire top six of last season have gotten record deals.

Tim Urban had bad performances every night but he still made it to the Top 7. Siobhan never even was in the Bottom 3 before.
I guess she's just too good for this show.

^No, you are. She deserves to win the competition, and her performances are still better than Michael's and Aaron's. Argh.

God, she's good, but she doesn't deserve to win. Just accept it.

^ on the contrary, i think she deserves to win. its just that no one else is good enough to hold the american idol title.

It was actually true... on her Facebook site they had Aaron's number listed under her picture as her number. I'm not saying that is what sent her home, but they did do that....I saw it for my self.

Have they had any success though?
That's the one thing I'm hoping for from X Factor US, that it produces successful contestants, for the most part American Idol hasn't. That's shocking when you consider it is the most popular show on American Television, obviously something is going wrong somewhere.

because the market is saturated out there, and not all good vocalists can produce a marketable album (see Taylor Swift?) I don't see anything wrong with the show. X-factor will worsen that situation by producing the equal no. of artists into the pool
God bless the USA

It has nothing to do with market saturation, if the market was saturated then it would not be possible for any new Artist to breakthrough. The American Idol contestants are given a great platform from which to launch a career, yet more often then not they do not take advantage of it. They have so much exposure, and even if they only connected with the viewers of the show then that would be enough to guarantee success on some level, for years the show has produced mediocre talents. Kelly and Carrie are the only notable successes. It's clear that people are interested in watching the show for entertainment purposes, and not for the "talent" it has to offer.

Exactly it doesn't really matter if you win or lose. Look at Adam Lambert and petitions DO NOT work when it comes to bringing back a contestant on Idol people are wasting their times on that.
Someone did a petition to bring back Alex Lambert and did he return? no he did not.

Its not a conspiracy. Her fans thought she was safe and didnt vote for her as much. I split my votes between Crystal & Sibbhan 10 a piece and it didnt help anything. I think next year they should allow you to vote online as well.

yep, so imagine ppl need to follow 2 pools of talents' careers after the shows ... obviously it's gonna be worse.
and the market is saturated imo. New Breakthrough Artists are not all good vocalists. Good marketing and promotional team is the key i guess.

It doesn't require only a talent to succeed in America.
- You need to have the it factor
- You need to have a good management
Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood had an successful career in the US because they know how to bring it on and they were managed well by the Record Company.
Also, AI emphasize on old, boring and outdated songs which interest almost no body but old viewers. On the other hand, X Factor is more current and it feels fresh.

Who's really gives a damn? American Idol is a joke now. Kris Allen won, but he's a total flop. No star power or potential to be big whatsoever. Adam Lambert didn't win, yet he's STILL outshining Kris by miles. Same goes for contestants like Jennifer Hudson, Daughtry, etc.
If Siobhan is meant to be famous, then she'll get there, not because she won or lost American Idol, but because people truly like her and because she has the "IT" factor that will take her there.
American Idol is just dry as hell now and NEEDS to end. I agree with RudeBoy, it's turning into an old person show.

I doubt the winner of this season will be successful. I'm so done with American Idol, bring on X-Factor US!
