Janet, Damita Jo, Miss Jackson if you're nasty, is a legend, plain and simple. She spent her career breaking down walls and setting precedents for the pop-girls of today and they owe more to her than their fans would admit. 2015 was an amazing year for Janet. She announced her comeback to public acclaim, scored another #1 album on the Billboard charts (which is difficult to get, not everyone has that) and embarked on a world tour.
She's built up an amazing discography through the years, but hidden behind her (mostly) immaculate collection of singles and videos are the building-blocks of her career: the hidden gems, or the ones that didn't see the light of release. What better way to celebrate her than a rate?


In this rate we will be looking at the album tracks, the b-sides, the bonus tracks, the promo releases and even a few gems that were leaked. None are safe from my rate. No singles! As great as they are, we're shining a light on the less-appreciated tracks. We tried this rate in 2013 but didn't get enough votes, but this renewed interest in Janet and her collection has brought me here to revive her old rate for a new userbase on the site. Now for some ground rules;

1. Score each song above between 0 and 10, I will accept decimal scores.
2. If you want to, you may assign your favourite track (only one) with a score of 11.
3. Send the completed scores in a PM to me.
4. As there are a lot of tracks (113), I will set a preliminary deadline of February 12th but I am open to moving it if asked.
5. Any commentary included with the scores is never required but always appreciated.

With those formalities out of the way, please feel free to use this thread for discussion in the lead-up to the results. Since Janet is in the title I know that the only people who clicked it will have good taste, so happy rating!

I will work on putting up links for all the tracks and maybe a Spotify playlist later on. It's a lot of tracks tho, gimme a break.

Some of the rarer ones may be scrapped if I can't locate any.
