In a recent interview with Angie Martinez from Hot97, Mariah Carey promoted the release of her new single "The Art of Letting Go" and talked about various topics.
She and Jermaine Dupri talked about how they work together and some aspects of her new album. Mariah said it will be out "at the top of next year" and hopes for a february release because, she thinks it's great for Valentine's Day and that people needs the "I love you, "I hate you" songs.
She talked, as well, about her journey with American Idol. In her own words, when asked about it, Mariah said that working in Idol was like "going to Hell and work with Satan" while she laughed over it with a glass of champagne in her hand. She mentioned she was said that it would be a three people only panel and that she was "dissapointed" by the experience, altough she loved the contestants.
They also talked about Mariah's husband, Nick Cannon, and their children, Moroccan and Monroe. Mariah said that "dembabies" actually sing in her new album, and that she doesn't agree much of the kind of comedy her husband does when he talks certain things, but she's proud of him.
INTERESTING: Mariah said that, even after all these years, she's still very insecure and critical of herself.
