Mess at people vehemently denying this. I have some of the most integrity of anyone on here and I wouldn't say something that I don't personally believe is true. I've acknowledged that she lipped certain parts of her performance from the minute she finished her show
BUT a lot of it WAS honest-to-god live. How many more receipts do I need to pull out?

She definitely wasn't. Heard her come in late during a couple parts in Roar at a rehearsal. On game day she hit this killer high note in Roar that she hadn't done at the rehearsals.
Confirmed on a reddit AMA from one of the background dancers Katy's team recruited from the local university. He was not compensated. And yes, they are legit.
I really didn't enjoy the singing because it definitely sounded live or like not awesome live tapings. I do respect Katy for doing it live though if it's true.
I'm the type that would prefer the chit to sound great and clear - even if it's recorded - with great performing and staging to supplement if the performer can't exactly belt it live.

nowadays popstars don't "lipsynch" anymore they ~use backing track to be save
it doesn't matter to me that katy lipsynched, I still enjoyed the performance however katy, beyonce and madonna stans better not come for britney when she lipsynchs because they do it too. except they try to fool people with pre-recorded vocals.
