Ellie Goulding shows Bruce Springsteen who’s The Boss as she takes back her Official Albums Chart Number 1 crown.
Ellie Goulding has returned to the top of the Official Albums Chart today with her second full-length, Halcyon.
The British singer/songwriter, who has been nominated for three awards at next month’s BRITs, has reclaimed her chart crown from Bruce Springsteen’s High Hopes (Number 2 today), which ended her two week run at Number 1 last Sunday.
However, Ellie finished this week a cool 5,000 copies ahead of The Boss’s latest effort, according to the Official Charts Company’s sales data. Halcyon is also the biggest selling artist album of 2014 so far.
