X Factor loses another million viewers as only 5.9 million watch Sunday night's show
X Factor had a disappointing start to this year's series, with just 5.9 million people tuning into Sunday night's show - over one million LESS than Saturday's premiere episode.
According to initial figures, numbers for the show dipped below six million last night. On Saturday there was an average of 7.11 million for the launch show, meaning 1.2 million didn't come back for the second X Factor visit of the weekend.
It's still one of the most talked about shows but it feels like such a non-event these days. People use to get so excited about the show and would insist on watching it live but nowadays people just prefer to catch up on iTVplayer.
This season is one of the best in recent memory so far. Also, people don't realise the auditions are on Sundays too. Couldn't care less about the ratings. It's still one of the most watched shows on TV, so it'll keep going for a long time yet.
It's funny actually, I've actually enjoyed this series for the first time in probably 5 years or more. It's just a shame the casual viewers are dropping off more and more every year, while King Strictly remains dominant
