In 1971 Barry Manilow released Could It Be Magic, which features extremely similar refrain melodically and even lyrically (Baby, I love you):
De club going gheys should be more familiar with 1976 cover version of Could It Be Magic by the legendary Donna Summer:
In 1987 the duo Pet Shop Boys released their UK chart topping single It's A Sin, which also sounds really similar to Wild World
...So similar that the same year Jonathan King recordedhis own version of Wild World using the instrumentation from Pet Shop Boys' It's A Sin to prove the similarities. However he was taken to court by the duo and was made to pay out-of-court damages.
In 2006 Lily Allen released Little Things that had an opening melody really similar to the original Wild World as well:
