"Truth Brings Light," the promo for season 7 of Dexter, teases us with the one conflict we've inevitably been waiting for this entire series. We even get some spoiler audio.
What do you all think? Are you excited for the new season? Do you have thoughts or predictions for what's coming up?
Saw this when it was posted. The only running series I watch. When I saw this and the still of Deb pointing a gun at Dex, and read some of the episode titles I was conviced Deb was gonna turn on him but now I'm not sure after the new promo.

True, but they usually managed to skate by without leaving plot holes all over the place and could evoke at least a vague sense of danger.
Yeah, it was bothering me how Dex acted so out of character with all of his "slips" especially the "Oh God" one. But I knew Deb had to find out one way or the other.
season 6 was a goddamn MESS, but I've been with this show since the beginning so I know I'll be back
and yes, this show's writing has never been spectacular, but the novelty of the premise wore off during season 3 and they were able to re-ignite things with a fantastic villain in season 4.........after that, total cookie-cutter-paint-by-numbers trash.
It's no secret that "Dexter" has never
been a shining example of writing talent.
"Dexter" thrives mostly on its premise.
...Vin
I'd say it's equal parts premise and Michael C. Hall. However, over the years, the show has definitely gotten away from the premise alone and focused more on a sole antagonist. Perhaps there is a link in between that and the decline of the show in some recent seasons.

When it came to Dexter's personality, season six made no sense.
In what world would Dexter even consider acting like some
out of control hick shooting at billboards with a gun?

Haha, Space. Yes, get that writing
room together and tell 'em how you really feel.

I agree that Michael C. Hall's portrayal of Dexter is literally
one of the only things holding the series together.
