1989 Tracklist Only Has Two Ballads
Quote:
Of 12 new @taylorswift13 songs, I counted two that I'd qualify as ballads. Other 10 about tied as potential "Shake"-followup Top 40 smashes.
Taylor retweeted this.

It's mostly Max Martin and Shellback, but @taylorswift13 did bring back Nathan Chapman for the one sort of fairly traditional ballad...
Quote:
The most blogged-about song will be one where she parodies her own romantic image. A lot of people won't get the irony. But it's wicked fun.
Quote:
Not nearly as emotional as last @taylorswift13 albums, but about 50 times as emotive as almost any other album with this big-beat production

I hope the ballad is this album's pop version of Treacherous.

10 smashes I can't. 1989 is coming for Teenage Dream's wig.

Shake It Off was only a buzz-single.

Her ballads are normally what I look for, but 2 will do I guess. She never disappoints in that department.

Hmm? I love it when she sings quietly. I guess this disappointed me a bit.

I love Max bops and their colabs so far but only two ballads?
Her emotional ballads/slow tempo are what separated her from the other pop girls for me.
