Because radio is rubbish. They miss out on about 90% of the good music by playing mostly generic stuff that fits the format. Doesn't mean those songs aren't hits though.

No. Im not talking about radios not playing now chorus songs for any of the reasons you guys are listing.
PHYSICALLY it will not work. Like if they tried the songs dont even play. it is impossible for them to play them. Im hoping someone here with radio experience can give insight.

Haven't there been studies or whatever that say that the standard Verse-Chorus-Verse-Chorus-Bridge-Chorus-Chorus format is what works? Like anything outside of that won't be well-received by casual radio listeners? Also the more repetitive a chorus is the easier it gets stuck in your head, making you want to hear it over and over again?

I'm so confused.
So if they try to play a song that doesn't have a chorus, it comes up "error1368_no_chorus_found" or something?

I have experience with radio. When you put a track without a chorus onto the tape, it spontaneously combusts. We attribute this to God spiting us and our ****** music tastes.
