Adele's latest track is on course to make its Billboard Hot 100 debut later this week.
The star's James Bond theme 'Skyfall' has topped the US iTunes store since its release on October 5 and has achieved impressive radio play since its premiere.
It has garnered 21 million audience impressions in America on radio. 'Skyfall' is already number 16 on the building Adult Contemporary airplay chart, number 33 on Adult Pop Songs and number 37 on Pop Songs, reports Billboard.
The song is predicted to have sold between 200,000 and 250,000 copies between Friday (October 5) and Sunday (October 7), which marks the end of the tracking week.
Based on these sales, 'Skyfall' is expected to land at number four on the Digital Songs chart after strong download numbers from One Direction's 'Live While We're Young', Taylor Swift's 'Red' and PSY's 'Gangnam Style'.
All of these factors indicate that 'Skyfall' is on course for a strong placing on this week's Hot 100 chart, which will be announced on Thursday (October 11). (source)
I was expecting more with a full week of availability. However this is still really good and I know she will slay once the gp hears the song on radio more often.

Taylor debuted at #7 with 299K last week and very little AI. I'm thinking SF could get #4-7 if she does hit close to the 250K mark and adding in her airplay.
250K will put it 10-15 points behind Begin Again, which debuted at #7. But, we know Red and Live While We're Young will probably have more points, so probably 8-11.
