Anyway I finally got a chance to listen to the album and its just really abrasive and harsh on the ears. They're are a few tracks that stood out but nothing that screams smash.

A lot of guys discard her because of her strong association with gays & fashion, even if they're not really homophobic. I think a lot of guys would feel judged, and sadly actually be judged, if they listened to her music & were public about it. Gaga even joked about it in a tweet: the one about a guy turning his earphones down when listening to Applause at the gym. I wish that wasn't how it is - but it is. There's a stigma with her among straight men.

Other people are sick of her antics. Others think her music has become awful (I don't know anyone who likes Applause for example, but I know a bunch who don't like it). Sadly, I think a lot of people are judging ARTPOP before listening to it. The title also might turn people away.

There's 7 billion people on this planet. The opinion of your sister, friends, and relatives don't even make 1% of the fictitious GP. People obviously like her if they are buying her tour tickets or albums. If you expect Gaga to be as big as she was during TFM then you're sadly mistaken. No one can be as popular as their prime forever. Gaga is still here, and she will still be here.
