These things are all always confused and tagged as R&B aritst? Yeah, no!

Mazen and myself were just debating on what's pop and what's r&b. In Mazen's opinion, he thinks aritist like Beyonce, Chris Brown, Ciara are R&B aritst. I can understand his arguement but if you really look into the roots of R&B, none of them apply. Throughout the years we have had so many true R&B greats, Lionel Riche, Patti Labelle, Stevie Wonder etc. We have also had many pop greats like Micheal Jackson, Janet Jackson etc. If you compare Micheal & Janet's music to the artist above, then compare Lionel & Patti's music to the aritst above, who's more similar? EXCACTLY. I really wish people would really experiment R&B and not throw it on acts that clearly aren't R&B. I'm not gonna lie, artist like Chris Brown, do have some what R&B tracks but almost all of his singles have been pop. Some true R&B singers today would be, Keyshia Cole, Fantasia, Raheem Davaugh, John Legend, ALicia Keys. THAT'S R&B.

Yeah that's true. But I clearly stated what R&B acts today are still doing real R&B.

Ok this is the way I see it Beyonce, Ciara, Chris Brown, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson, Usher are all pop artists that do R&B music

Ciara and Chris Brown are POP artists in Tierra's la la land.

They do make Pop music with RnB driven beats but that wouldn't make them Pop artists. Same with Justin Timberlake, he makes RnB influenced tracks but that won't make him classified as an RnB artist. I believe in multi-genres artists but I'd ever call some these you mentioned as pure Pop artists.

If you are saying Justin Timberlake isn't a classified R&B aritist, then Chris Brown isn't a classifired R&B aritist. They are practically the same type of arist, what genre I don't know but it's not R&B.

Britney? Always and forever will be a Pop artist. No matter how urban or whatever genre she goes, you can feel her pure pop roots in her music and that's a great example of an artist devoted to their sound - Just like Madonna and MJ.

Justin Timberlake won't be called a R&B artist because he's white even though pretty much all of his music is R&B influenced. Some black people just won't accept a white artist into the R&B genre but then again Jon B was

Yeah that's one thing you can never argue with Britney Spears could sing the most heavy urban bassed beat and it would be Pop. She's pure pop forever.

The skin color plays a role as well. Black people have some tone in their voices which is, IMO, the core of RnB music. Robin Thicke, for example, has it even though he's white.

In my opinion Justin Timberlake and Robin Thicke are exactly alike I really can't tell no difference between the two. Their falsetto range is exactly the same they look similar to each other and they're both influenced by the same artists.
