Rihanna and Katy Perry both scored huge eras with "LOUD" and "Teenage Dream," dominating radio and iTunes thanks to back-to-back hit singles. Which era do you consider more successful overall, on a worldwide scale?

TD felt like a more clearly defined era. Loud followed RR so quickly and was followed by TTT just as quick...it all blurred together. So TD has that advantage.
But in terms of numbers, Loud's album sales + tour #s are more impressive and with much less effort.
90 millon $ tour gross with 99 shows.
6+ millon album sold with 3 top 5 hits.
vs
59.5 million $ gross with 119 shows
4+ millon album sold with 6 top 5 hits.
You think?
The obvious choice is Loud, if you compare album sales and the tour.
Loud was also very successful singles wise; granted, it wasn't as successful as TD in that respect but the album sales and chart peaks of her singles WW generally made up for that anyway.
Teenage Dream. It is far more memorable and bigger.
only memorable thing on the album is Firework, and the 5 number one singles and ooo yea the songs being sold for like 10 cent and the remixes trying to get that number one
The numbers speak for themselves. The numbers are even more impressive when considering that Loud was launched after TD and Rihanna began another project before TD (& it's re-release) finished.

Loud is at 5.741.000 according to Mediatraffic and at 6.447.000 according to musiccharts.

I posted how much both albums sold prior to the release of "Part Of Me,” since it was the lead single from the re-release and “Teenage Dream” rebounded that week.
