We all know Mortal Kombat is still a HUGE selling and cultural force, but the MK team would never sink so low to collaborate with the Tekken team.

tekken reached it's peak with tekken 3, and to be honest, the fourth and fifth game were both so-so.

Now that WB bought them out, no. But MK remains unbothered.

Right? Each new game may get a graphics update, but players aren't stupid and notice it's still the same engine from 15 years ago

The fourth was so-so, the fifth was great and the sixth was not very different from that.

Tekken will always be iconic.

Exactly, i like Tekken(still a fan) but they are all literally the same game to me now. At least other fighters like SF, MK and SC mixed it up with there latest releases.

And what are they supposed to do? They add new characters, new game modes and new moves for every character in all the games.

Tekken 6's Scenario Mode was something that was never seen before in any of the games before that.

There's a thing called engine, some games like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat have used different engines through the series. Look it up. You may want to try them out.
