Its very simple. After the story entries are posted and everyone can read them including the "guests"
they will decide which stories they think are the most convincing and which are not. Just like the participants they will create their own character for said round and they will add more things to the stories by the participants which can either hurt them or help them.
Like if we go by the example in the OP.
Jane asks kid X about what was he doing when the present was stolen.
Kid Xsaid he was swimming in the pool
And then the "guest" can say something like "me and kid X where both in the swimming pool at the time the present was stolen" so by saying that the guest is helping kid X's story to become more believable because now you have several people saying the same story it is more likely to be true.
But if the "guest" says something like "kid X was not in the swimming pool I was there by myself" so by saying that the "guest" is hurting kid X's story which makes it more likely to be fake.
The guest can include several people in their story so it can help or hurt more than one people.
And in the end the "guest judge" will decide which story is most likely to be a lie and determine who stole present and that person will be eliminated.
*And I say kid X because as I said everyone will create their own character and their name so it will be anonymous.
*The guest will also create their own character it can be a kid at the party, an aunt, the husband, the brother, etc.
