He was using blackface historically known as a derogatory satire of black people, it's not surprising he got in trouble for it. I agree he didn't mean it like that and shouldn't have been told to leave, but that's when the parents have to step in and explain things to him.

I don't think the kid or the parents did anything wrong. The parents prob thought it was fine to let him paint his face because he is still so young and had good intentions. But ofcourse people get butthurt over everything these days.

Right. Blackface isn't offensive because someone's painting their face to look black. It's offensive because of it's origins. Same reason why yellowface is offensive.
