Female pop stars rarely tour Asia, period, and this obviously isn't the first country in which she's been protested (it even happened here in the US).

Indonesia is ostensibly a republic, and pop girls have toured other Muslim-dominated countries before in the Middle East. It's not like she planned to set up shop in Iran.

There were so many conflicting stories, but I do believe it was announced from her team that she'd be willing to tone it down if it could go through (she did actually make modifications for South Korea). They were just dead-set against letting her in at all.

Her show isn't even especially sexual compared to any other pop girls, this is in large part to do with her promotion of LGBT acceptance. This is really pathetic for any country that claims to value civil rights and democracy.

I feel really bad for the Indonesian monsters. They've waited so long. But then again I'm happy that everyone is safe.
