And it's not even as bad as people say it is. It has 3-4 great songs, 4-5 good ones, and the rest are terrible. But it shouldn't ever be in contention for the best album of ANY time period, which is why I'm always surprised when people act like it's on the same level as... many others.

I feel that its real "terribleness" is in just how mediocre it is. It's not obnoxiously bad, it's just so devoid of any character, integrity or... anything interesting that it become mind numbingly terrible.
