Hmm, why so big difference for Lana while others are practically the same?

I don't know. I think Music Charts is more reliable. I remember Mediatraffic inflated BTW 's sales.
Music Charts counts more countries than MT too. And Lana is a global artist so that's could explain it.

19 has sold just on 1 million in 2012 thus far too...must be around No.6 or No. 7 I'm guessing. Which lifts Adele's 2012 sales to near on 7 million.
With 2/3 of the year still remaining and considering 21 is still top 5 on the big charts, she should do 10 million easy...

How so if Music Charts gave it higher sales basicalltìy every week?
This thread was missing some unnecessary Gaga shade.
If you try to read Mediatraffic methodology, it is perfectly clear.

It's fine that we all want to believe Musicharts is more reliable since it often gives higher numbers for almost eveyone of our faves, but it really isn't. Chart experts from around the world look up to MT and submit their datas, MC can be used as a reference at most. And, as you can see, excluding Lana, the differences aren't even noticeable

Mediatraffic numbers are not 100% correct they only cover top 40 and there are weeks when some albums fell out of the top 40 even though they are selling like 40-60K for example bruno never had big weeks but he was consistent with his sales and he had a lot of weeks selling between 40-60k,and if you remember mediatraffic stated that Rolling In The Deep is the biggest selling song of 2011 but musicharts stated that Party Rock Anthem is the biggest selling song followed by rolling in the deep, then a month later when The Press Association released the Worldwide Best-Selling Digital Songs Of 2011 LMFAO, “Party Rock Anthem” was at (9.7M) whereas Adele, “Rolling In The Deep” was at (8.2M),Musicharts

They provide numbers for albums not charting in the top40 if you ask in the site forum. This until they go under 10K weekly and fall out of their monitoring.
It's impossible to have 100% correct numbers when most countries don't provide official sales infos.

Mediatraffic doesn't track singles sales, but a weighted average of airplay and sales. Anyway we are talking about albums, that singles chart is a mess, but you're off-topic.

You only have to look at Music Charts's 2011 figures for '21' compared to XL's shipped figure for the year to realise they were more accurate than MT on that one. Whether that's the case for BTD I don't know.

I was trying to make a point when I talked about singels' accuracy and I know that mediatraffic counts Airplay but LMFAO's song also had a strong airplay and has dominated radios at different countries around the world and as for albums rihanna's loud is a clear example because it's obvious that it has crossed 6M WW and it did according to musicharts but it's still at 5,600,000 on mediatraffic and you know they only count the numbers shown so when the album is out of top 40 then it's out from their counting system
