Panconutcase, pretty soon you will have to realize that Beyonce isn't too far from Faguilera in the vocal department, and Beyonce sings and dances. I haven't seen Aguilera do any amazing dancing yet cause she isn't a dancer. Also, Whitney can dance IMO. I know you might think your like this person who knows a lot about the music industry and your very opinionated, but take it from someone who hates singing and dancing at the same time; it ain't the most pleasan't thing to do...

Beyonce's vocal skills are level w/ Pink's. & I think that although I haven't seen Pink dance that much her dancing skills are better. I'm well aware that it is hard to do that's why I appreciate those who don't lip synch or perform to pre-recorded vocals. That is one of the many differences between a performer and an artist.

^Actually Playboy I've been saying these same comments for months. & my taste in music isn't changing. & requirement for what entails me to like a singer isn't going to change either. I clearly have affected you because I didn't insult Beyonce in any way. Some people prefer performers over artists and that's fine. I don't and that will never change. The point is the better the voice, the less likely that they will dance. This includes Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Beyonce, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston. They CANNOT DANCE. Britney Spears can dance. Janet Jackson can dance.

And can we please stop with the sales comparison? It's common sense that Beyonce's first week of domestic sales will be bigger than Christina's but of course nobody's bringing up her worldwide sales...

U've affected me in the way, that I like to read what you have to say. When your not worshipping the ground Christina walks on, you have great knowledge on music. I never said you had to like Beyonce but you sure do go out your way to knock her at any given chance.


Yes, Aguilera does have a bigger range then Beyonce. But Beyonce knows how to use her voice better, which is technique. Christina needs to learn that oversinging evry song will not convince people of her vocal talent, we all know she's the best singer of this generation. Worldwide sales, who actually cares about that unless you live outside of the US or your album flops in the US.

If Britney can dance, then Beyonce is a dancer as well. They both do choreo to a T. I find it funny that people only came in here to not comment on the topic but only to aid in dissing someone who was brought up.

^I actually wasn't focused on Beyonce because she didn't fit the profile of the point I was trying to make. Anyway, I think that you're confusing technique w/ style. Beyonce doesn't use her voice better she just sings in a different style. Christina sings in full voice a majority of the time and switches to falsetto or her whistle notes at times. She has the ability to get the notes in full voice & does do the melismas in her full voice.The only song where she sang a song completely using her falsetto was Save Me From Myself. Beyonce has the tendency to use her falsetto a lot (Naughty Girl for i.e.) Not as drastic as Justin Timberlake but still she does. & let's be honest she has the tendency to go outside her range which is exactly why her voice cracked at times on Resentment. Mary J Blige does it at times too. & yes Christina is often accused of oversinging much like Patti Labelle was early on in her career. & if you want to discuss technique they use their voices in the same exact way at times. You can really tell that at the Grammy performance they did together. I personally prefer screaming over falsetto. Falsetto is annoying and also hides how much range a singer actually has. It's just a preference. Janis Joplin was known to scream. Listen to Summertime w/ Jimi Hendrix. She screamed the whole way through the song. Doesn't make her any less of a singer and it doesn't prohibit her from being perhaps the most influential female singer of all time. Most blue grass singers have the tendency to "scream". Koko Taylor screamed sometimes. Susan Tedeschi does at times at too. They growl, they screech, they crack. That's just the style. & I wasn't taking jabs at Beyonce btw. Regardless of what you might think I don't dislike her because I like Christina. Beyonce does actually have the potential to be an artist but she seems to prefer being a performer which makes me lose respect for her. I actually hate Usher just as much and for a majority of the same reasons and if Justin doesn't watch it I'll hate him too. If they actually took the time out to make quality music and adopt the traits of an artist then my opinion of them would probably change.& me saying that Beyonce isn't a vocalist does not equal saying that she can't sing because I would be lying. She never has been known for her voice. Moreso for her image and as of late being the "whole package". But everything that the media and critics have tagged her as are characteristics of a performer. Not to mention she's more like Tina Turner than anyone else. So I'm not understanding why it would upset you so much for me not to call her a vocalist when she never has been given that title. I'm not even sure if someone like LeAnn Rimes for example has that title.

Her voice didn't crack on Resentment, its the way she sung it. You need to see Beyonce's Oscar performances where she doesn't perform but stands there and sing. Along with her show stealing Dangerously In Love performance at the Grammy's. But I'm not here to prove that Beyonce's a vocalist, thats her job. We can agree to disagree.
