No, I'm discussing the overall aspect of her sales, not just her album numbers.
You have to understand that to have longevity one needs either very good promo spread out during their era, with strong RADIO (like you pointed out) singles that will keep the album selling consistently OR you go for the 'suicide cushion dive' kind of era, where you give it all your best in the first 2-3 months and sell like crazy, and then even if you under-perform selling your 2nd or 3rd single, you still made it enough to not call that era a flop.
You can do both, yes, but not if you're not extremely popular.
Demi is in the middle, really. Her first single was decent, not huge, but her promo is lacking and very, very inconsistent. This obviously is going to reflect on what she does for the remainder of her era, and possibly her next one (as an example, remember that Taylor Swift had SO MUCH HYPE after the Fearless era that the Speak Now era was pretty much mindblowing).
