Inside sources have exclusively told us that as streaming & media continue to influence the charts to a greater degree, digital sales won't matter as much.
"Digital sales are simply not the majority anymore", said the insider, "With sites like Spotify taking over, it's easier to let people stream freely that leave them to regulate through individual purchases. It is a phase, just like albums".
While some are worried that will happen to the economy, others are worried what will happen to their favorite artists. "I don't know what Katy is going to do without digital sales", said one fan. "We want to enter into a new age of music" said the insider. "An age where streaming becomes the standard of the music industry. Digital sales are holding back. I mean, asking people to spend $1.29 is simply too much!"
