No one said Beyoncé doesn't use props or criticized Madonna for doing so.
The basis of the argument was that Beyoncé doesn't NEED them.
The argument against Madonna is that she uses props in her show to "distract" people, and without them, she wouldn't be entertaining. I've read this entire thread.
Beyonce stans criticize Madonna for using props in her show, while Beyonce doesn't need that to perform and be a great performer. Well performing, for music artists, is translating your artistry into visual form. Beyonce and Madonna both use different mediums when approaching their performing. Beyonce's music is about empowerment and aggressive, and that's how she is on stage. Whereas Madonna's music is very artsy and thought provoking.
Beyonce uses the medium of voice and dance, while Madonna uses visuals/props/whatever in her show. Each medium compliments the artist. So if you're gonna attack Madonna for using props, visuals, etc. then you have to attack Beyonce for her medium as well. That's why the logic is flawed.
And just for the record, Beyonce's visuals/props are no match for Madonna's on Madonna's worst day.
First, you asked them a question they then answered the question.... they you turn around and write this long ass response to try and prove the answer they gave you isn't logical?!
But it's actually a little awkward when Bey tries to be artistic. See Sweet Dreams at the EMAs. She is at her best when she is simple and soulful.
whatever.
She's gotten better. An example being the BBA. She can use pretty lights but at the same time it doesn't distract or take away from her as the centerpiece. then she can turn around and do that same performance without the lights, fireworks, & 500 dancers on any stage of any size and it'll still carry the same impact & captivate you.
Sometimes Beyonce stans can be soo delusional.
You could never find a Michael performance that was
already done by somebody before him from top to bottom.

I'm just sick of everybody misusing it.
That's true. I forgot that the BMAs was "artistic." But honestly, the second half of that performance was what made it great. And that's why the X-Factor France RTW performance is just as amazing to watch as the BMA performance, if not better.

I see my attempt at getting you, and others, to see the flaw in the logic didn't work.
And you don't think being able to assemble a cohesive show with props and visuals that compliment the song being performed isn't a raw ability like singing?
in terms of performing, it isn't. Or rather, in Madonna's case it isn't complementing what abilities she has when it's all taken away.

Do not make me do Michael in, I swear you girls act like pre 1980 does not exist on this forum.
People already think Madonna was the first person to be ****ty on stage.

Y'all are just gonna ignore
GREATER THAN or EQUAL TO the BMA perfromance. Her "artistic" input added nothing to her performance skill. I know I'm basically proving your point that she doesn't "need" props or artful imagery, but she also doesn't know how to utilize those avenues.
