Madonna is an intelligent person and she always delivers some thoughtful and different shows for her audiences. She also delivers her performances the way she intended when she wrote the songs. I can't say anything about Beyonce's one-dimensional shows -- where it's all about booty shake, and the general show fillers: "where mah [insert an adjective] ladies at?" and "Do you remember this? [insert DC3 medley]". Please.

She amazing, but her lack of live vocal talent is the reason I could never get into her, she sounds great on record, but the singing and dancing live doesnt translate.
Its also interesting that she dances so well live, I think this is what Britney stan think she did back in her prime, but Ive never seen her dance like Janet....ever.
I would agree with that, although I've seen performances of Janet singing acoustically she actually sounds nice. She's good at showing emotion in her songs even with a soft voice.

She does not NEED to hire someone to do that. She has enough creativity and vision to do it all on her own. She CREATES her shows, every single BIT of every single song on the set list. It's all HER.

If you're going to penalize certain artists for not singing live, then you have to do the same for all artists.
Just because you sing live that doesn't make anyone better than the next. Are Whitney and Mariah as good of performers as Michael? No. Obviously that tells you there's more to being a great performer than just singing live.

This. I don't understand the contradiction of Sats saying performers famous for lip-syncing should be excluded for consideration, yet he mentions Michael as one of the all time greats. He never relied on lip-syncing to cover a lack of vocal talent, but he still did it often enough.
I cant believe Madonna's variety show excerpts are even a factor in this discussion. Her choreography always looks like she in a senior dance class, even in her prime. She sells tour tickets off her being the queen of pop and still being capable of putting on Katy Perry level performances after 30 years. In no way, shape nor form will she ever be on the same level as Bey, Michael, Janet, Tina or anybody else who can simply put on a great show without props or theatrics
Exactly, props are meant to enhance your performances not over shadow your skills & create an illusion. Which why Beyonce will always be better than Madonna. Anyone with the same creativity that can dance decently and lip can do what Madonna does. If you strip all the production behind Madonna's performance in her prime and Beyonce now it'll be clear as day who's better and still keeps the crowd entertained.
