I like them, but I think it hides the fact the one may lack raw talent. I mean how can you honestly show your talent with 400 dancers and fireworks going of around you, they are distracting.
Those things are NEEDED and very much appreciated for a big show or a tour, but there are some artists, like Madonna who use them ALL the time and rarely gives a stripped down performance with just her and a microphone and still impresses.
