May Madness! 5/11 (Happy Mother's Day)
Close Calls:
35. 3 Doors Down "The Road I'm On" (6, 23)+1
34. Sailor Moon "Who Do You Think You Are" (27, 2@1)

32. Linkin Park "Somewhere I Belong" (84, 2)
31. Lisa Marie Presley "Lights Out" (26, 1@1)
Lacey and Tasha of Lillix host.
Tasha:Welcome to DRL. Today is gonna be hectic as a new song enters the countdown which replaces "All I Have". Who will do it? Here's some info we do know.
WHAT TO EXPECT:Stacie Orrico snuck in #1 yesterday. Will Lucy Woodward blindside Ms. Orrico? Time will tell.
FIRST UP:Daniel Bedingfield continues to fall. Ja Rule & Kaci continue their retirement push. Stacie Orrico slides backward and by a lot. First, the song that replaces "All I Have". That would be P.O.D. with "Sleeping Awake".
30. P.O.D. "Sleeping Awake" (1, 30)HOT SHOT DEBUT (Hasn't been on countdown since mid-late winter with "Thinking About Forever")
29. Daniel Bedingfield "If You're Not The One" (11, 4)-1
28. Ja Rule & Alexi "Reign" (59, 2@1)+2 *Retires In 1 Days*
27. Kaci "I'm Not Anybody's Girl" (79, 2@1)+2 *Retires In 1 Days*
26. Stacie Orrico "Everything" (6, 19)-7

22. Saliva "Rest" (3, 22)+1
21. Da Brat Featuring Cherish "In Love Wit Chu" (3, 21)+1
Lacey:Something fishy about this countdown is the fact that it's anybody's guess who will top.
Tasha:That's right. Now, the top twenty goes down. I hope our song "It's About Time" regains #1!
NEXT UP:Ludacris isn't a fool to reach top twenty. Lucy Woodward makes a big move with her current single. Cirrus continues to gain ground like hotcakes, and Evanescence makes a big move. We start with Hilary Duff who just 3 days ago ended Lillix's 21 day streak at #1.
20. Hilary Duff "Why Not" (50, 5@1)-5
19. Ludacris "Act A Fool" (4, 19)+2
18. Kelly Clarkson "Miss Independent" (27, 2)-1
17. Jewel "Intuition" (17, 2)-1
16. Evanescence "Bring Me To Life" (127, 9@1)+4
15. Lucy Woodward "Dumb Girls" (137, 3@1)+12
14. Monica "So Gone" (10, 2)-1
13. Thalia Featuring Fat Joe "I Want You?" (10, 4)-1
12. Cirrus "Boomerang" (3, 12)+6 *Requests have really helped this song*
11. Jason Mraz "The Remedy" (5, 11)+3
Lacey:I have a good feeling about this. We are performing our song "It's About Time" live. We also premiere our joint "Because" a little later on.
Tasha:Soon, we will have competition.....ourselves!
Lacey:Ha ha ha. That's funny!
NEXT UP:Ashanti does double duty. Stacie Orrico takes a dive. Dream falls back. In fact, we start with Ashanti whose Baby continues to stay.
10. Ashanti "Baby" (361, 58@1)+1 *Retires In 39 Days*
9. Ashanti "Rock Wit U" (18, 1@1)+
8. Dream "When I Get There" (249, 47@1)-3 (Retires In 1 Day)
7. Sugar Ray "Mr. Bartender (It's So Easy)" (2, 7)+3
6. Stacie Orrico "Stuck" (91, 3@1)-5
Tasha:Here's our new song "Because".
*plays song*
Lacey:We might just do it!
Tasha:Then we better get ready to perform.
BATTLE FOR #1:Lucy Woodward edges out Stacie Orrico. Now, will she hang on? The answer is no. Also, Lillix battles the video cuts for the top. Lucy kicks it off.
5. Lucy Woodward "Blindsided" (4, 1@1)-3
Lillix beats all video cuts. They will perform the #1 joint after the video cuts.
4. Avril Lavigne "Losing Grip (Video)" (44, 3@1)+4
3. Christina Aguilera "Fighter (Video)" (38, 1@1)+3
2. Jennifer Lopez "I'm Glad (Video)" (38, 3@1)+5
1. Lillix "It's About Time (Live)" (26, 22@1)+3

5/12 Preview:Ja, Kaci and Dream hit the end of the line.
Ja Rule and Kaci hit the retirement home, but nowhere near the top. Dream tries to go out at #1, but will they be successful? Plus, debuts from Lillix, Stacie Orrico and more music from Sailor Moon.
The video cuts battle for #1. Does Dream have what it takes to stop them?

Give me your thoughts on this countdown Ed. I'm pretty sure you don't like Christina taking #1 away from Lillix, but the video cut army is too strong for Lillix to handle on their own.

6-4 take out 3-1? That might just happen tomorrow.
However, here's a bombshell for you. Who should be #1 out of the 6-4 you mentioned?

I would like to see Lucy Woodward at #1, but Sugar Ray or Lillix is more likely to get to the top.

Don't be so sure Ed. I've had a song on my countdown jump from #28 to #1(although it was a song retiring on that day), so Lucy has a shot at #1.

May Madness! 5/13 (Back to a top 25)
Close Calls:
30. Monica "So Gone" (11, 2)-12
29. Sailor Moon "It's A New Day" (1, 22)-7
28. Finch "What It Is To Burn" (54, 3@1)
27. Linkin Park "Somewhere I Belong" (84, 2)
26. Lisa Marie Presley "Lights Out" (26, 1@1)
FALLOFF:
3 Doors Down "The Road I'm On" (6, 23)-1
Sailor Moon "Who Do You Think You Are" (27, 2@1)-3
Here we go. Two jams fall off the countdown today.
WHAT TO EXPECT:Christina Aguilera snatched the #1 spot from Lillix, and Ed wasn't happy. Will Christina conquer again? Can Sugar Ray take the top? Will Lillix rebound?
FIRST UP(25-21):Shania Twain and The Troys hold their own while Tegan & Sara start losing some airplay. We start with Da Brat falling 2 spots to #25.
25. Da Brat Featuring Cherish "In Love Wit Chu" (5, 21)-2
This is her first time on the countdown in a long time.
24. Tegan & Sara "Monday Monday Monday" (6, 24)+2
Their first song. It needs a bigger movement push.
23. Shania Twain "Forever And For Always" (12, 2)+6
She hasn't been #1 since I'm Gonna Getcha Good reached the top in late 2002.
22. The Troys "What Do You Do" (5, 22)+3
New high. This song takes advantage of Dream's retirement.
21. Hilary Duff "Why Not" (52, 5@1)+9
Takes advantage of the retired songs from yesterday by making the 2nd biggest jump of the day.
NEXT UP(20-16):Thalia continues to fall, while Saliva slashes forward, and Stacie's new DRL joint is making some noise. We start this set with Evanescence still stuck at #20.
20. Evanescence "Bring Me To Life" (129, 9@1)-
I will premiere their song "Going Under" sometime next week. Will it do as well as their current smash?
19. Thalia Featuring Fat Joe "I Want You?" (12, 4)-4
This is her first time on DRL(you know how I feel about having spanish lyrics on my countdown, I just don't feel it's good for the DRL audience)
18. Kelly Clarkson "Miss Independent" (29, 2)+1
She still hasn't reached #1 on this countdown, thanks to Lillix. But, I have a feeling this song won't give up!
17. Saliva "Rest" (5, 17)+7
Their last clip peaked at #10, but had 4 days total.
16. Stacie Orrico "Ride" (2, 16)+1
This is the fourth time she's made the countdown. I seriously doubt this will do as well as "Stuck".
NEXT UP(15-11):Christina takes a drastic fall, while P.O.D. flies forward. We start with Jewel inching up.
15. Jewel "Intuition" (19, 2)+1
She hasn't done this well since her debut. Intuition debuted at #7, and hasn't really capitalized on that.
14. Christina Aguilera "Fighter (Video)" (40, 2@1)-13 (FALL OF THE DAY)
Oh my! That's a deadly blow to her! This means we have a new #1 today.
13. P.O.D. "Sleeping Awake" (3, 13)+9
They have hit the top ten with every single song they have done, although they have hit #1 with only 2 songs.(Satellite and Alive)
12. Avril Lavigne "Losing Grip (Video)" (46, 3@1)-9
The early report stated Avril to have the edge, but I guess that was wrong. She takes a brutal blow, but not as big as Christina.
11. Jennifer Lopez "I'm Glad (Video)" (40, 3@1)-9
See #12.
PREMIERE ALERT:Here's the premiere of Train's "Calling All Angels".
*plays video*
THOUGHTS:Train will debut tomorrow, and do pretty well.
NEXT UP(10-6):Jason Mraz and Cirrus break into the top ten, and yet another Ashanti double play. We start this set with Lucy Woodward who against all odds has "Dumb Girls" right back in the game. The #10 joint is not that one. It's "Blindsided" drowning 4 places.
10. Lucy Woodward "Blindsided" (6, 1@1)-4
My favorite song from her at the moment. It's catchy, but not as catchy as "Dumb Girls".
9. Cirrus "Boomerang" (5, 9)+3
I thank Ike for suggesting this song. This song is nearly 6 minutes long, but it has a good beat.
8. Jason Mraz "The Remedy" (7, 8)+3
He hasn't slowed down since his debut last week. He might just be a #1 contender in the future, if he can hang on.
7. Ashanti "Baby" (363, 58@1)+2 *Retires In 37 Days*
I don't think I can say anything else about this song. It has just about accomplished everything it can do. It shattered almost every DRL record.
6. Ashanti "Rock Wit U" (20, 1@1)+2
This is her new single, and it was the one who stopped Hilary Duff from nesting at #1 for too long.
LAST UP(5-1):We saw Christina clear back at #14, so who tops today? Stacie kicks the top 5 off, by regaining the 8 spots it lost yesterday, and adding 1 more for good measure..
5. Stacie Orrico "Stuck" (93, 3@1)+9
Stacie's fans responded very nicely, but she missed the jump of the day thanks to Lucy Woodward.
4. Lillix "It's About Time" (28, 22@1)+1
This song might never taste the bottom of the countdown, which is good for me! (HE HE HE)
3. Sugar Ray "Mr. Bartender (It's So Easy)" (4, 3)+1
Highest showing ever for Sugar Ray. Will they hit #1 tomorrow?
2. Lillix "Because" (2, 2)+5
Fastest non-single song to battle for #1 since Dream "When I Get There" back in late 2001.
1. Lucy Woodward "Dumb Girls" (139, 4@1)+12 (JUMP OF THE DAY)
See Ed? I told you anything is possible. This song nabs the jump of the day with a +12 gain which blindsides "Fighter".
