10.DANCING WITH TEARS IN MY EYES

One of the most transcendent choruses on
Animal (the other being "Party at a Rich Dude's House"). Ke$ha just completely lets go, and it works really nicely with the more restrained—and remarkably sultry—verses. I would have liked to see this one in the top five.

Perhaps a little overrated on this countdown, but I love the contrast between the soft vocals and the throbbing dance instrumental. It's the perfect closer for the album.

Kanye's guest verses make this song for me—he injects it with some much-needed humor. For a track about alien sex, the original takes itself awfully seriously. It's actually quite good, though; the synthy beat is mesmerizing.

It's fun to sing along to this one with a caricature Caribbean accent, but mostly because the lyrics are so inherently silly to begin with. I really enjoy its steel drum rhythm, but I've always felt that this was of the lesser tracks on
Loud.

Simply one of Christina's best songs ever—it's so genuinely felt. Rather than being overrun by grandiose over-belting, there is immense power in the broken subtlety of her vocal performance. In a top ten heavy on dance tracks, I'm glad that this of all ballads broke through (though an appearance by "Lift Me Up" would have been nice, too).
