In Music Videos. I don't even listen to Kpop music at all that much or at all; but when I do watch their music videos I am in awe at their production values for their music videos. The US music videos are lacking compare to kpop music videos. The choreography, the production, the concept of their videos are just far better for their artist compare to the ours.
The US needs to step the **** up

Thats true, but the US music market is the biggest in the world as well, the artists over here need to keep the buying public interested as well, Music Videos are one way to do that. Artists need to step up their game. I feel like nobody look forwards to music videos expect pop fans.

Exactly. They don't want lazy choreo and a poorly put together video. They want intricate moves, amazing choreo, and the vocals can be put on the backburner

But...

I just watched the first video and i see absolutely nothing to write home about. Production? No. Choreography? No. Concept? No. No's all across the board. Maybe some better examples would illustrate your claim more clearly.

I wish the US audience was this much demanding for it.. ugh I don't know.. I wish people in the states would actually care about the videos a little more.

These look like early 2000s videos, late and delayed.

AKB48 is Japanese. Supposedly some entertainment group is planning to debut or has already debuted a boy band with 50-60 members here in Korea, but they aren't popular and I can't even remember their name. The only group with a lot of members is Super Junior with 13.

Except most K-pop singers have fantastic voices. :kisuke: There are way more "no-talent" popstars in America than there are in Korea. A lot of that is to be owed to the fact that entertainment groups here train future artists for years before debuting them. An act debuts just months after they are signed in America.

Girl no. I loved the RTW video but the Sixth Sense concept is way more complex. The symbolism is much richer in Sixth Sense than in RTW too.

They like videos, but they'll watch anything tbh. That's why videos like Single Ladies, Toxic, Bad Romance, or We Found Love are such a big deal forever.

I'm not saying that they don't have fantastic voices. I'm saying that most of the time, their vocals aren't focused on in their singles. It's all about dance ability. EDIT: Except The Boys manages to focus on both.

To be fair, though, they usually only release one single per album here in Korea so the ballads don't get a chance.

I feel like once these K-Pop girls come to America then our artists will be forced to step up their game. They're amazing.
