I think you mean they have no excuse for
not showing them. They just don't really care about the music...they never have. I wouldn't be surprised if PREMIERES were gone forever. All they do is show a First Look, which is more than half of the full thing cut short, or a Click to Pick, which is probably the same thing, I don't know...haven't wasted my time watching TRL in about 6 months. I'm still keeping my website up to date with the archive stuff, but the show will never be the same. I say cancel it during September, when the show is at its 8th[?] anniversary.
Taking Back Sunday, that's so typical of them. When I first heard about a new video, I knew TRL would get ahold of it...anything related to emo is sure to be bait for those bandwagon hopping assholes, and TBS are one of the first to hit mainstream as far as I can remember.
When Korn, Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach, etc. were huge, TRL never reached out to any similar bands like Disturbed or Adema. Okay, except one time each ("Down with the Sickness" and "Giving In"). The truth is that they're scared. More emo bands are being exposed than the alternative-metal bands because none of them take risks, they're a hell of a lot more accessible and radio-friendly than alternative-metal bands. Not to mention you can hardly tell some of them apart. Oh well, the bigger they are the harder they fall. TRL's gonna start kissing ass to some other type of rock in a couple years, if they're still around. That's the music industry for ya.
I need to quit typing so much. >_<
