Because it's hilarious, campy, over the top, stupid, cliche, silly, AKA, everything Gaga is. From what I know, people don't buy an album because of the cover, they buy an album because of the music.
True...but why have something meaningless when it's not too difficult to take a picture of something easy to distinguish? She's done it before.

Btw, have you all heard of http://www.rockabilia.com? They have all kinds of Gaga stuff, super cheap. Love it, I order all my band **** from there.
It's simple. It captures the impenetrable star with her sunglasses and leather jacket but you can't fully see her face - there's a mystery there. It says, you don't need to see her full face, even from that angle you know who it is. And the only print are the letters GAGA emblazoned on her jacket, like that's all you need to know. It gives you a sneak peek and you have to open the book for more. No explanation needed.

I'm not speaking about fans I'm talking about the casual album buyers. Fans would have bought BTW even if it the cover had been a picture of GaGa's most recent bowel movement. (In retrospect a better idea).
With the album cover is a great example of a GaGa idea where in her camp one had the balls to tell her "guuurlllll....." But I digresss.

you're right Its not the most important thing. I mean the music is what sells albums in the end but I think it would have made things easier this era... and it was an error that didn't have to happen. but its ok. the album still shittsss
