while i agree with both of these statements, i don't necessarily think they add up anything to the conversation.

sure, it has exceeded most people's expectations - that still doesn't make it any less of a subpar single.
it simply doesn't measure up to gaga's traditional standards.

which brings me to the second comment - it does have a better position pre-video, and i want it to have a better position after the video comes out & the effect kicks in than Y&I had. i'm just saying that it should not be compared to Y&I cos, frankly, they're incomparable in every single sense.

gaga is rather zealous about this song.

I don't know what you guys mean by the Marry The Night vocals being out of place or anything they sound great to me. Also Bad Romance was written on a studio bus while she was on tour. I mean I know recording/writing on a bus are not the same but I don't see how that affected the songs.

i feel the same about the song - it's just a tad overproduced.

the beat kicks in nicely - it's probably my favourite part of the song.

one does not need to be an amazing writer to be a critic.

some people simply are able to understand and appreciate something without being able to do the same. they're basically perfectionists in most cases - where that very same perfectionism stops them from even trying to do it.

The intro should have been left alone just for a repeat of the back track (epic), then the outro should have been cut down.

Electric Chapel is a difficult one. What makes it so different is the understated vocals on the chorus, but if she had really gone for it like she does on the "follow me don't..." I think it might have been even better.

Yeah. I don't really understand why she didn't make the chorus explosive like she does on nearly every other song she does.

Once again, that song's production made me expect too much from it.
