DS is a midtempo.

It is def not as midtempo as Hazel Eyes.
It has moments where its very broken down much like a ballad, and then the chorus picks up where it goes into midtempo field. I consider it a Midtempo/ballad because of the verses are very broken down imo, much more then I would hear on a midtempo song.

I can see what you mean about Dark Side possibly not working as much in the summer as it would in the fall. However it still is the best next smash after WDKY(S), and it would be stupid to hold off on it. For all we know, releasing IFY or LMD as single #3 may end the era before even getting to #4. If WDKY and DS smash, then whatever is released after would have nice momentum going for it.

If IFY were to be the 3rd single for Spring/Summer I am sure it would smash, it would just not have all that longevity. Which is fine, we would just go on to Dark Side for fall/winter. Maybe my person wanting of Dark Side being a Winter smash have me blinded

Surely DS would be the best song to follow a smash like wdky.. Single #3 imo.

wdky has fallen as more people are buying the album whilst on special, no point of individual sale? Hard for the song to climb with nothing more than an ad at the moment

Probably to make room for all the holiday ads. The ad had propelled it all the way to the 60s on iTunes and then it suddenly started plummeting. Who knows where it would be if it were still running. Let's hope they bring it back soon.
