Still Bad Romance *****, the problem with the BTW era is that there's not excitement, she couldn't be dark/grotesque and at the same time entertaining, there's no balance!
Yeah, but I don't think that's Gaga's fault. TFM era was so exciting because everything was new. Nothing is new anymore, so it's just like, "Yeah, we expected that." We, as a fanbase, have become entirely too dependent on certain things, which is obviously Gaga's fault. :3
Maybe MTN will bring something new to the table. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Maybe she set the bar too high for herself and she make us wait for great and out of this world things all the time, but i think this era is designed to show more GaGa's talent and tone things down a little bit musically and visually at least her fashion is more toned down since a few months ago and from my point of view she is not so overexposed like she was in the The Fame Monster era, i think with the next album she will come hard, with more commercial and radio-friendly songs+amazing videos, she is smart and Interscope won't let their cow get dry!

She don't have to do "fun" and "mindless" songs necessarily, she needs to find the right people to work with, focus her visions and creativity and find the way to make music with substance but at the same time exciting and fun in some way, a hit is a hit no matter the lyrics, she just needs to deliver more radio friendly and I tunes ready songs that's all, the bad single choices and the unpolished videos this era were the key!

If only she hadn't of had a fall out with Rob Fusari and Martin Kierszenbaum and it sucks that RedOne has become sort of generic now. She'll have to find a way to balance out her want to be a "serious" artist and her need to be a commercial artist. It'll be hard, but I feel like she can do it. I don't mean this in a bad way, but Gaga loves the fame and she's not blind to what is happening. She'll do what she has to to win people over again.
All this talk has me excited to hear what she's going to do next.
Since she's already explored the demise of the blonde icon in song, video and performance, I sincerely hope her next take on the subject won't be internalized. She likes to make music about her personal experiences. Imagine an album about how people tried to destroy her during the BTW era.
