She should just follow the Paparazzi template. Have the prelude be the opening, and then maybe a short exchange toward the end (sans music), but no more padding than that.

I hope so. If the video is chopped up like Telephone then oh boy. I will not know what to do with Gaga!

What is making me think that she has two seperate videos is that she said the prelude was 7 minutes xx seconds xx frames. She wouldn't be that precise if it was one long video.
It seems the video for the prelude was already done. Or will she just put both of them together in the end...

Paparazzi is still her best video. Aesthetically, it's such a POP video and shows you can work within the confines of the genre and find ways to still be interesting. Bad Romance's video was the beginning of Lady Gaga straying away from pop (dark, grotesque) which resulted in the BTW era.

For the cinematography, I would agree. I still think Bad Romance was so much more stricking. Visually, you could only be blown away at the first view, because there was so much going on. Everything was so in-your-face and fast.
But, the paparazzi video was the moment I started paying attention to her much more.

The shot of her pulling the shirt sleeve off in the wheelchair >>>
Paparazzi --> BR was the 1-2 punch that turned her into a cultural phenomenon.

Still Bad Romance *****, the problem with the BTW era is that there's not excitement, she couldn't be dark/grotesque and at the same time entertaining, there's no balance!

It's her best video and one her best songs. Nothing from BTW comes close to it.

I like the BTW videos for the most part but I agree. I wasn't even a huge fan during TFM era and yet there was a sense of excitement when I first watched Bad Romance/Telephone.
The preview for MTN confused me as it's not particularly bad, but it's a whole minute and the choreo's great but it kind of made me worried as to how the video will be structured. I'm not having my hopes up as a precaution.
