Yeah, I remember alot of people initially denying that it would be successful, while others were adamant about it being a hit. I knew that it would be a hit as well, though. A #1 album wouldn't really change things for her much, other than giving her something else to brag about, as you said. A #1 album is meaningless if the album can't sell more than a couple million worldwide in the end.

Rihanna will most likely sell more than 200k. I'm estimating 205k-220k. It won't be enough to give her a #1 debut, but it's still slightly higher than the original estimates. People need to keep in mind that they tend to underestimate.

A MAJOR problem is people don't know she has a new album coming out. And the fact that it does remind me of a full length LOUD rerelease doesnt make matters better either.

Someone just yesterday told me they love Cockiness yet didnt know her new album came out on Monday.

She'll definitely sell over 200k to be honest... The sales will pick up especially over the weekend. I'd rather she sold under 200k and kept stable sales long term than sell way more and let the album drop quickly.

Even if she doesn't get #1 though that doesn't mean she's going anywhere. I still think this will be her most successful era, not with her album or single success in particular but I think its close to delivering her signature sound and image.
