That means that we'll only be getting 2 new songs, since "Part of Me" and "Dressin Up" have sort of been confirmed.

That would be epic, but I just hope they release some of the remixes on itunes to raise sales when airplay gets higher. Ive already heard some that are actually really good. If its top five on BB hot 100 and higher in airplay, the sales generated from this remix EP COULD be enough to push it to the top for a week, depending on the competition and promotion of the song of course.
