Wikipedia doesn't even have an "awards/ nominations" section for him, let alone a page like most major mainstream artists have.

My Kinda Party is his first major album, and it was released after the latest award shows; he has several nominations at the upcoming AMAs and CMAs though.

I'm not sure about Taylor Swift . . .

"Fearless" was just Magic, and I don't feel "Speak Now" the same way, I think she just deserves the country nods.



21 (Adele) and MBDTF (Kanye West) deserve the nomination for Album of the year, though low sales of MBDTF could ruin kanye's chances since the last 2 grammy awards shows have given a lot of importance to sales.

I feel like "Speak Now" was a far superior album to "Fearless". That´s the main reason why it would bug me if it got snubbed.

Where are the damn lists?

Every album of the year nominee of the past three years has had songwriting credits by the artist on at least half of the tracks- the only exception being Robert Plant and Alison Krauss in 2009... I think this gives Taylor (who wrote all of her songs by herself) an edge over Aldean (who cowrote none of his songs) for the country nom.

The only thing Aldean really has going for him is that his album is technically "more country" than Taylor's.

Miranda Lambert performed at the show, but Lady Antebellum is the one who showed up in AOTY.

While I have been predicting Jason Aldean for the country slot, I don't think anyone should put faith in who is performing at the nominations special vs. big nominations. He's probably performing because he is a favorite for some nominations in some categories, and those cats could be something in country but nothing else. I don't even think all of the ballots are in yet.

It was just a personal opinion, Don't get me wrong I really like Taylor. If she gets the nod for album of the year I would be happy for her, but If she doesn't get it I wouldn't be surprised either.

I remember last year for the best female country vocal performance and country song everyone was counting that Taylor would get those nods, and she was completely snubbed.

So .. I think we should wait and see what happens with her ....

The only thing I fear when it comes to Taylor is that they BRP may pass over her since she already won AOTY. They may want to spread the love this year. The BRP is shady like that.

Last year she was only eligible with Today Was a Fairytale (I think?) and Mine- neither of which are the strongest of nominees...

I'm curious to see if she submitted Back To December, Mean or something else entirely.
