Of course not don't be silly, we're the top of the food chain and we're naturally omnivores that is our natural state of being. Animals aren't sentient, they don't understand or think or feel like we do. They're dumb. Sure maybe slaughterhouses could be more humane but there is absoloutely nothing wrong with being an omnivore like we were designed to be.
If we didn't kill animals they would become over populated. Then that would lead to unnecessary disease that could potentially lead to human disease that could kill several.
Humans are over populated. Lets kill them. AIDS is spread way too fast these days, a disease that could lead to the death of millions around the globe.
Animals are not ever going to have the same rights as humans. It's almost a ridiculous radically left-wing wet fantasy to even believe that it would be possible. It's an ANIMAL.
I treat animals as equals. They should hace better rights tho. I have a strong dislike for hunting and killing them for fashion. I understand hunting, however. It's just cruel to kill for their fur.
