The statement was along the lines of : "Gaga uses religion to get publicity and her hits. And that is partly what has made her so big."

Are you saying that "religious profanity" is what made the public buy her songs?

And I can't with this new opinion of 'Judas' being a big hit just when it suits people to say it.

I don't think saying 'Jesus Christ' in Y&I makes it "profanity" either.

Religious profanity got her attention. Attention > People listen to your music > people buy your music.

No, they don't. The thread title clearly states Katy and Rihanna, and of course Gaga fans feel they need to bring out there fave. It doesn't matter if she has been or not, the fact that she is massively successful proves it enough, not to mention the success didn't start with just this album.

Yes, she makes childish music, but that same music is crossing over to Hot AC/AC stations successfully. She is slowly being accepted by older audiences in the way that GaGa, Rihanna, Britney and a few other mainstream pop stars aren't without having to do much.
