Celeb News: Cheryl better than Nicole, says X Factor critics

The review read: ‘In the premiere Cheryl just kind of disappears mid show, without much explanation, and suddenly Nicole Scherzinger of Pussycat Dolls is in her chair. It's a downgrade.
‘Ms Cole showed glimmers of being interesting; in two seasons as a judge on The Sing-Off on NBC, Ms Scherzinger was a pretty face but, judicially speaking, not much more than a seat warmer.’

The Chicago Tribune was similarly disapproving of Scherzinger, saying: ‘Scherzinger doesn't come off as an obvious improvement’, while the LA Times wrote: ‘On a first impression, she [Cole] is much more interesting than Scherzinger, if only for her fabulous Geordie accent.’
Music mogul Simon Cowell took the decision to sack Cole from the show after it was feared she would not connect with US audiences, leaving her jobless in the X Factor franchise on both sides of the Atlantic.
But it seems Cowell may have made the wrong decision in hiring Scherzinger as a replacement, with the 33-year-old criticised for being ‘more interested in tearing up and out-glamming Pop Idol's Jennifer Lopez than bringing much to the commentary.’
There was bad news for the rest of X Factor USA’s British contingent however, with Welsh host Steve Jones branded ‘utterly irrelevant’ by the New York Times and ‘so far in the background, he might as well be on another network’ by The Boston Herald.

While I would have preferred Cheryl on the panel, and I'm still fuming that she's not anymore, I think Nicole is doing fine... and she seems to have a good dynamic with Paula that we didn't see with Cheryl/Paula. On the UK X Factor, Cheryl was Simon's right-hand woman, and on Idol, Paula filled that same position. So on The X Factor US, having two "right-hand women" didn't really work so much. I think we have yet to see Nicole truly shine on X Factor US, but I know she has it in her, and to judge her solely based on one episode is a bit narrow-minded... and foolish.

I watched it and its obvious to me why the polls and critics are leaning towards Cheryl. When it comes to being a great female judge its all about having great charisma. Cheryl exudes charm and confidence and her accent actually made her more intriguing. Nicole was okay but just not as magnetic as Cheryl.

Cheryl loves everyone even the haters.....who need to fall back HARD
