Shame that GIF has an error in the format of the quotation.
should be
"Quote quote quote, but she says: 'Jo...quote quote.'"

There are more mistakes, it says "I did I got crazy" instead of "indeed" and "the guys, being me" instead of "the guys, meaning me".

Oh lets talk about Jo and the VMAs.
Did you enjoy Gaga as Jo Calderone @ VMAs?
I was disappointed she wasn't shock female Gaga and didn't do GH or HML. But now I like it and it was a smarter career choice. She's a true businesswoman

i actually agree with you.. but of course gaga is handling this era like a hot potato

I don't think it's Gaga's fault, it's Interscope that has handled the singles wrongly.

In 2008, when Natali was a sophomore, her sister released “Just Dance” and became so megafamous that even tripping on her heel in an airport made headlines. Natali says there were instances when it was impossible to keep a low profile, like when Gaga showed up at her high school graduation—held at a church in the middle of the afternoon—in a flesh-colored unitard with rhinestone embellishments and a beekeeper-inspired headpiece replete with black netting. “The teachers were like, ‘Oh my God, I can’t handle this family,’” she recalls. The press slammed Gaga for upstaging her sister on her big day, but Natali says not only did she not mind, it was her idea: “She asked me, ‘Should I dress really conservative and look not like myself, or should I do it over-the-top and freak everybody out?’ And I was like, ‘The latter, definitely the latter.’

I think MTV will use it in their VMA promo's for the next few years, which is a good thing. It was a good choice, but I would have thought the world would be more 'shocked'

whether its gaga or interscope someone there has no idea what they're doing... as much as i may love YAI.. seriously? i'm sure they chose it just because they saw how it peaked top 10's on itunes when BTW was released... but TBH radio has been killing gaga this era.. they killed judas.. killing YAI.. cause YAI sales are not bad.. YAI should have a larger AI.

I think the world was more appalled/disdainful than shocked. Though they had the same reaction to the meat dress, it was better because everyone was talking about it.
However, I think the reaction and success level of VMA Jo is due to the world's struggle still with gender roles and homophobia/fear of cross dressing, etc.
But her cross dressing and like said in an article, her saying Gay, Bisexual, Lesbian, and Transgender on live TV really made strides.
MTV even went ahead to say she set a precedent for future VMA performers as Jo.

honestly i don't like JO so i wasn't too happy with what she did at the VMAS.. its kind of hit or miss though cause many people loved it and many people thought the whole get up was annoying. (ME) i do commend her for really doing something risky once again and pushing boundaries and people will respond to that.

I think she did a great job and it probably is a good thing she didn't make the whole world know she did something what would 'shock' people again, they would bash her for trying too hard even more.
Anyways, I'm going to sleep, as the wise Boomkack always says:

Well yeah. They're preparing for Katy and Nicki to show up dressed as men so they can write another article about who tried to "out-Gaga Gaga."
