In 2010, Ke$ha was the new "it" girl, spawning hits such as "Tik Tok" and "Your Love Is My Drug." Her album sold decently or whatever. But does anyone think she has been swept under the rug by other female artists? She had "We R Who We R," and "Blow" was a moderate hit. But compared to artists such as Rihanna, Katy Perry, GaGa and Britney, no one talks about her much these days. She's not much of a celebrity. Ke$ha seems like flash-in-the-pan and already forgotten.

Is it just me or has Ke$ha become a non-factor in the pop world?

Right now, yes.

She may come stronger than ever with her next album though. I wouldn't count her out just yet.

Even if she's not necessarily the "big gurl on top," she's still made a name for herself, and she's most definitely become a staple in today's pop music scene.

Even when Cannibal was out, she wasn't talk about often. Her songs were hits but "whatever."

And even when pop girls do not have music out, they are talked about or anticipated.

At least to me, Kesha's always pretty much shied away from the public eye and the only thing keeping her in people's mouths was her music so as long as she doesnt wait too long to release new music, Im sure she'll be as strong a presence as she's ever been.

I thought she was off the scene so she could do her tour. Then when I went to the tour a few days ago, there were no people in 300s, barely anyone in 200s, and 100s weren't even sold out. I don't understand because at one point she was one of the HBIC's

She shouldn't have stopped staying in the public. That was the time when she should have been out there constantly not taking it easy.

This poll is a bit premature. Wait till her second album drops, before making a decision. She's popular in America, if that counts.

Wait for her 2nd studio album. Not that I'm team Ke$ha or something, but she hasn't even released a properly follow-up to Animal yet. Let's wait.

I know, and it's confusing as hell. She used to be a huge factor, but now it's like she doesn't even care anymore. And that's not even an insult, just what it looks like.

Sad, because the concert was ****in' amazing. She had the perfect debut and lineup of hits, then she...stopped.

Nobody talked about Katy from May 2009 - May 2010. Ke$ha's taking a break and is out of the limelight. She's never had a flop in the US, so she's still a factor there. She's never been a global star like the others girls, though. We'll have to wait and see what she brings with her next album, but I think she should release it sooner rather than later. It's never a good idea to take a really long break unless you have to.

She doesn't have new music out right now and people never talked about her all that much besides from her music (which is not necessarily a bad thing), but "non-factor" goes too far.

And I think she would be more in the press and talked about if she hadn't been touring almost without break since February(!) now. She's on the final leg of her tour now and has only had a few days off between each one of them. There are hardly news about her now. But she has made herself a house-hold name in the industry anyway, and in the public eye she basically is a walking meme for glitter, drunkenness, wackiness and debauchery (and autotune, sadly). She has carved out a niche in pop culture for herself and people know her and will remember her. She can come back any time with new music as long as it's not years from now and people will be like "Oh, it's that Tik Tok girl! She's wack. She has a new song? El oh el, let's see what that sounds like".

And then when the song is good and the album is as well, people will be there for her again and she will be talked about. It all depends on her next album. If that flops and goes nowhere, THEN she will become a non-factor, but not right now.

It's true, I never noticed how absent she is from the public eye. She was huge during TiK ToK, but that's really it. She'll still probably come back with them smashes when her next album drops though. I am a little worried since she's taking such a long break.

I think she's just ... boring now. Nothing interesting has happened to her. Sure here songs are hits, but that's it.

I don't know. She hasn't been in the light for a while now, but that's because she doesn't have a new album out. If her new album sucks, then yes, I'd say she'll be a non-factor then. It's not like she was that interesting to begin with.

She's taking a break before her next album. I have a feeling this next one will have some really great stuff on it.

The only problem is that Ke$ha can't manage to stay in the headlines while on break from releasing music. She isn't Gaga.

When was she a factor tbh? All Ke$ha had was single sales few top tens and large digital sellers other than that.. she was pointless. She didn't rack up hardly any accolades, she never got praised, she barely performed at any big award shows besides the (AMAS, EMAS), her tour flopped etc she has always been just "there". (She is the perfect example of a singles artist).
