The Monster Ball won an Emmy.
The Monster Ball is Lady Gaga's show (she created it, she stars in it)
The Emmy for The Monster Ball is an Emmy for Gaga and her team.
Technically? No, she does not receive the award, meaning she won't have it to put on her nightstand, but it's a win for her and her team.

Am I crazy for thinking this way, or?
No, it isn't.
These four people won: Mike Polito, Bill DeRonde, Kevin O'Dea, Katie Hetland.
Lady Gaga is NOT an official Emmy award winner, at least not yet. Stop spreading ******** and lies.
When The King's Speech won Best Picture, the director didn't get an Oscar. The producers did.

It was for EDITING, so the EDITORS won.
Well, at the end of the day, show recaps go, "The King's Speech goes away with four Academy's tonight...blah blah blah" which is what I think Anthagio means. Her tour garnered however many awards collectively albeit in several different categories.

I was going to post the above in the other thread but I couldn't be bothered to explain.
It's fine to say The Monster Ball won an Emmy, because it did. To say Lady Gaga is an Emmy Award winner is incorrect.
Those editors could have worked on anything, and won an Emmy for it.
Steven Spielberg won the Academy Award for Best Director for Schindler's List
Liam Neeson/Ralph Fiennes wouldn't have been credited for that award.
