My Criminal Concept:
So I know that this totally goes against cliche sexy videos, and the fan ideas, but this is what I picture when I hear the song.
So the music starts out near a bar, and Britney's boyfriend (the Criminal) is amongst there with this friends. The first verse is more of an introduction of Britney's criminal smoking, drinking, (doing drugs if they could put that in a video), and just very unclassy behavior. It also shows Britney kind of secluded and distant from him in a way. Then just as the chorus is about to start Britney breaks a window. The pieces fall into shards and during the first chorus, transparent memories of happy times with her boyfriend are played on the glass shards. The chorus ends, and Britney is walking down an empty street. The sun is setting and the environment gradually gets darker throughout the verse. Britney is surrounded by trees that are in Fall season currently (changing colors). Britney is kind of going from tree to tree very emotional and just singing the second verse. Following behind her is her criminal boyfriend and friends. Throughout the video the "Criminal" slowly starts to get darker, and more evil looking than when he started in the video (the man she knew). The second chorus Britney is writing a letter as a transparent views of different scenes are happening around her as the camera circles her. Then during the amazing bridge Britney's boyfriend grabs him and he is the man she once knew and everything brightens up. Britney looks happy as she dances with around with her boyfriend. Then towards the end it's kind of darker and Britney is walking down an abandoned street (after the middle eight bridge), and Britney sets the letter that is full of bad memories on fire and leaves it behind her. Soon everything starts catching on fire including the trees, the bars, the building, in the town/city it takes place in. The video ends with Britney walking away from it all.
