You guys can talk up Blackout all you want, it still remains unloved from me. I'm not a fan of the music, or that time in her life, and I never will be.

The "best" part about that dark time was Blackout. Through all her trials and tribulations she was able to put together one of the best pop albums of the last decade. She was so far ahead of everyone else. Even then she knew what she wanted.

I suppose that is one way to look at it. I choose another way though.

So do you hate blackout because of the period in which she recorded it? Or because you just aren't a fan of the music she made that era?

Well I don't REALLY hate it. I use that phrase but if we're talking serious of course I don't. I dislike it the most because of the whole period though. It's like it's tainted or something. But the music still wouldn't really mesh with me personally. If the whole breakdown hadn't happened, and it was just another album from her, it would still rank the lowest to me (right under BOMT). BUT, it wouldn't be SO far below it. Does that make sense?
